I'm not scared (but maybe I should be)

*Edit: I wrote this before the earthquake in Utah this morning... I'm a little more scared now tbh, but the overall point of this still rings true.

Kyle and I have a board game called Pandemic. In order to win the players have to work together to stop the spread of diseases across the world from reaching crisis level and causing a pandemic. It is my least-favorite board game we own because it's really hard to win- not only can it be hard to work cooperatively depending on who you are playing with, but it's also just mechanically difficult. Moving quickly enough to slow down the diseases is a struggle, and any sort of road block or delay causes serious damage.
It's a little on the nose right now.
I don't need to tell you how bad it is. I'm not the news and I'm sure you already know... but if I know its so bad, why aren't I scared?
I'm not scared because of people like this:
Crisis will always bring good people together, even if that togetherness is more metaphoric than physical... and that is a really beautiful thing.
Stay safe friends,
Nikki
